HISTORY
A Partnership to encourage sportive practices and the encounter between teenagers with a physical disability.
SESSAD: is a service to give specialised aide and education at home & school for handicapped children.
To help children with physical handicap discovering sports, the group "Multi-sport" has existed for many years. Yves CHARREYRON a specialised educator and Jean-Cyr BRUN ergo therapy, both are full time employees of the SESSAD, have been devoting some of their free time in this group. We realised that our youth met others while practicing what they like doing.
In this manner came about the group "Handisport" in September 2003, from combined efforts between "Departmental Committee of Handisport of the Essonne & the Service for the education & specialised of Evry. This service is coupled with another similar service from another town Arpajon.
It was clear to us that teenagers with a physical handicap did not practice enough physical activities, we have decided to establish a monthly workshop to unite as many children together. During those sessions children discovered various disciplines recognised by the "fédération Française Handisport " plus some other artistic activities: the dance, circ activities. Also outdoor activities were proposed and supported like Carting, or the accro-branche (climbing). Various other activities were executed and discovered but we wanted was a regular activity something like a club.
At the end of each season, teenagers following regular workshops parted on some kind of sportive outings, for instance in 2004 they went away week discovering sailing in Bretagne and in 2005 they went to Limoges to the Les Jeux Nationaux de l’Avenir.
Some of them tasted the joy of football for 5 indoor (Gymnasium) during the 'games for the future'. It was a great success and they enjoyed it. They all showed exceptional qualities of cohesion, great collective understanding, and maintaining real engagement in this new sportive challenge.
Facing this sudden passion, it appeared important to make the pleasure of this game a lasting one. A shared responsibility between "comité départemental Handisport de l’Essonne ", SESSAD (The service of education and medical aid at home and three responsible Ingrid MOATTI technical departmental adviser for committee in Essonne, Yves CHARREYRON et Jean-Cyr BRUN.
In this manner was born the first club of foot at 5 in Essonne. A 4th key person came and joined us. Marinette PICHON a star feminine football player in France became our Godmother..
But above all, the 11 young men between 10 & 14 with physical difficulties they all became license holders from their 1st sporting season.
Their training started once a month in the park des loges at Evry de 14 h à 15 h 30.
A new partner "Le monde du Football" from Juvisy-sur-Orge en Mr. Stéphane SAN PEDRO became our equipment supplier.
Since our
inaugural ceremony on Wednesday 29 mars
2006 our players wore for the first time their official team clothing and hence the name of
our club became public.
Our club is was called Handifootsal 91. We declared it to the licensing authorities under the name «Association departmental Handifootsal » likewise respecting the status of the "Fédération Française Handisport " in using the denomination "Association" and our apparition in the official paper 17th June 2006..
Our status was officially modified on the 15th Dec. and now we carry the name Handifootsal.
We love it from the bottom of our hearts
