Rules inherited from 'Foot for 7' played outside.

Handifootsal, meaning football for handicapped children under 20 & played inside. Those children have a physical handicap but are capable of standing up (with or without aid). The used football bounces less than the usual ball.

General rules

Handifootsal is a sport permitting stood-up handicapped children to practice a group sport building on the popularity of common football. The rules derived by the French Football federation are written particularly for a players with disabilities.

Here are the main rules:

  1. Game surface reduced

  2. Football does not bounce as much.

  3. Use the foot for Throw-in (when the ball has the touch line)

  4. Number of players are 5 + 2 replacement.

  5. Game duration 7 minutes.

  6. Faire play is the main rule

  7. Socialisation and team sense.

  8. Aide between all players (from any side)

  9. Number of replacements is not limited.

Categories

Their are 2 categories permitting players to evolve by degree of handicap, and not by how good is the player.

Group A: Players have an important physical disability of lower members. D1D2

Group B: Players have a less  important physical disability of lower members. D3D4

Regional

Regional championships for the Paris region, organised by "comité régional Handisport et sa commission jeunes."

National

Jeux Nationaux de l'Avenir (National Future Games) every 2 years.

Or the French cup for the foot@5 yearly organised by the "commission national du département jeunes"
